Payment Policy

As the buyer, you hereby represent and warrant that if you are purchasing something from us or from our Merchants that all credit card information you supply is true, correct and complete. Additionally, charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit card company. You further agree that you will pay charges incurred by you at the published prices, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover credit cards as forms of payment. We will accept payment by electronic check over the telephone.

In the event that it becomes necessary to issue a refund or credit to you, the refund or credit will be issued in the same form that was used to place the order.

If you make payment with a credit card, the card will be charged at the time that your order is placed.

In the event that it becomes necessary to issue a refund or credit to you, the refund or credit will be applied to the credit card that was used to place the order.

All critical information is processed with our 256 bit encryption.

StairPartsConnect.com does not store credit card or other sensitive information in its database.

Sales and Use Tax Policy Statement

We have prepared this sales tax policy statement to explain to you when and why we collect sales tax on your purchases.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Even if we do not collect sales tax from you, you may owe sales tax on your purchase. Unless you live in Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon, your state most likely requires purchasers to report and pay tax on all purchases that are not taxed at the time of sale. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. For more information, please visit your state’s department of revenue website.

STAIRPARTS CONNECT, LLC COLLECTS SALES TAX in states where we have physical presence (or nexus), including Connecticut. StairParts Connect, LLC also collects sales tax in states that have adopted the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (SSUTA), including Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

STAIRPARTS CONNECT, LLC DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX in any state NOT listed above because StairParts Connect, LLC is not required to collect sales or use tax in these states.

FOR OUR TAX-EXEMPT CUSTOMERS: STAIRPARTS CONNECT, LLC DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX if we have your exemption certificate on file.

Lead Times

Normal lead times for our catalog products in our standard wood species/finishes is 2-3 business days, allow extra time for shipping/transit.

Extended lead times for our catalog products in non-standard wood species/finishes is 5-10 business days, allow extra time for shipping/transit.

Custom products: lead-times on custom products depend on whether we have the raw materials in stock (e.g. turning blanks), may require extra time to source needed materials.

Shipping Policy

When the order is placed by 12 Noon Eastern, In-stock items will usually ship same day or next business day. Custom products and out-of-stock items will take from 3 to 10 business days to order or manufacture. Shipping time on all orders is 3 to 6 business days.

Orders for in-stock items that are placed on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday, or a Holiday), will be shipped on the next business day.

Orders up to 150 pounds are shipped by UPS Ground. Items that weigh 150 pounds + or are longer than 8 feet will ship via LTL Freight usually on a Pallet. We use multiple Freight carriers, including Con-way Freight, UPS Freight & YRC Freight. With Freight, residential and commercial delivery services are available. Extra fees incurred due to additional services such as lift-gate service are the soul responsibility of the customer/deliveree. If you do not have a loading dock or a fork truck, those orders must be unloaded manually. Please make sure that you have labor available to unload such orders.

Items may ship from multiple locations. Actual transit time varies according to destination, but will usually reach anywhere in the 48 contiguous states which excludes Alaska and Hawaii in 3 to 6 business days.

Order Cancellation Policy

Any order that is cancelled prior to its being packaged for shipping will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to ten (10) percent of the value of the order. NO exceptions. Please realize that there are significant administrative costs and fees involved in collecting and refunding payments as well as processing orders for manufacturing, packaging and shipping followed by reversals.

Any order that is cancelled after such time as it is packaged, or packaged and shipped, will be subject to the usual restocking fee equal to thirty (30) percent of the value of the order. NO Exceptions.

Return freight costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. StairParts Connect or the vendor handling the order will not accept returned goods that arrive at our warehouses with COD charges due from any carrier.

Should any goods that you return to us for any reason arrive at our warehouse with damage that occurred during transit, negotiating a settlement with your freight carrier is solely your responsibility. StairParts Connect, LLC has no legal basis for acting on your behalf.

Damaged Shipment Instructions

You are responsible for carefully inspecting the condition of your purchase and it’s packaging immediately upon receipt.

Inspection should take place before signing our freight carrier’s receipt.

If the packaging is damaged, please show the damage to the delivery personnel and ask that the damage be noted on the delivery receipt.

You must photograph all apparent damage and follow-up with an immediate inspection of the contents of the package(s). Should there be any product damage, you must take photographs clearly displaying all damage.

Should it be necessary to submit a claim for damage, the claim must be submitted to us within 24 hours of your receipt of delivery. Replacement product will be shipped to you by ground transport.

Product Return Policy

The scope of what is returnable is limited. We have the largest selection of stair parts and other turnings in the industry and it is not feasible to allow returns on items which are specifically manufactured for your order.

If you need to return product within thirty (30) days of your purchase, for any reason, it must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form. Only stock items may be returned with prior approval and issuance of a return merchandise authorization (RMA) form obtained from a representative of StairPartsConnect.com.

    Exclusions:
  • More than thirty (30) days from date of purchase.

  • Minimal quantities of surplus product discovered after project completion.

  • Non-stock products or custom fabrications.

  • Damaged products

  • Products that have been painted, stained, or modified.

Returned products will be assessed 30% of the purchase price to cover handling and restocking costs. All merchandise must be in its’ original condition and in its original packaging. The original order number, invoice number and return material authorization (RMA) number must be indicated on all items to be returned.

Product Storage & Product Finishing Warnings

Temperatures must remain between 60° and 75° Fahrenheit, while recommended relative humidity must remain between 35% and 45%. You must not store these or any wood products in direct contact with a concrete floor. You must not store these products in direct sunlight before they are properly sealed or painted.

Our metal products do not react significantly to temperature variation but they do react to excess humidity. Excess humidity will cause metal products to rust and corrode. Our metal products must not be stored in an area with humidity in excess of 45%.

You can limit your exposure by maintaining a stable environment for all of our products and further limit your exposure by promptly painting or sealing the products that we sell. StairPartsConnect.com will not be held liable for product failure resultant to exposure or your failure to seal it’s products.

Warranty and Guarantee

StairPartsConnect.com conditionally guarantees, to the original buyer, its products to be free of material defects or defects from workmanship for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date of purchase.

StairPartsConnect.com will not be responsible for improper use of its products and offers no warranty/guarantee for safety. All wood and iron products are manufactured for and are intended for interior use only, unless specifically stated to be for exterior use.

Installation of the products that we sell should be performed by qualified persons with prior experience installing the kinds of products that we sell.

There are building codes and safety standards governing the installation of the kinds of products that we sell. Those building codes and safety standards may vary from location to location. Regardless of local variations, building codes and safety standards should be strictly observed. Only the use of the safest installation practices should be used for stairway and guard rail work.

Website Submissions

Communications submitted to StairPartsConnect.com in any form including, but not limited to, written comments, photographs, sketches, drawings, or testimonials shall become exclusive property of StairParts Connect, LLC. StairParts Connect, LLC may, without compensation to you, publish or distribute any such material.
